| What does the mud look like?
The mud is black, luscious and unctuous with a very powerful characteristic smell. It has physical and chemical properties that make it extremely useful for treating certain disorders. The mud is unique by all means. |
The Mud's Forming Process: The process of peloidogenesis starts with the degradation of phytoplankton and zooplankton. Algae, protozoa, and crustaceans form phytoplankton and zooplankton (with highest representations of Cladofora algae and the crustacean Artemia Salina). The remains of these species are created through the process named tanatozoocentesis. After this degeneration, they are exposed to long and complex physical and chemical processes, which finalize in the production of the sapropelic mud. |
